Fear Not - A Bad Report

Scripture Reading - Luke 8:49-50 KJV

(49) While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. (50) But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

Greetings fellow believer in the Awesome Name of Jesus may God’s Grace smile upon you this day while he fills you with all Peace. Today we will continue in our “Fear Not” series. In a previous lesson we highlighted the fact that worry comes from fear. If we can remove the fear from the situation, event, circumstance, sickness, government, leadership, person, etc. . . we will also remove the worry associated with that fear. Thank God through Jesus Christ we can remove the fear. According 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love but perfect (mature, sincere, pure, untainted, developed) love casts out fear.” In another previous lesson we mentioned that we don’t need to fear protection primarily for two reasons: one - God is always with us and two - The Lord’s ministering spirits known as the Angels of God are encamped round about us continuously. The key is knowing divine help is always available and acknowledging God in all our ways so He can direct our paths. In a previous lesson we looked at not fearing a lack of provision because you are a child of God. Yes, your Heavenly Father greatly delights in you because He loves you so much. His desire is to not only feed you naturally but His Will is that you are well fed both spiritually and physically having more than what you need for that specific meal. In another lesson we discussed not fearing the curse(s) of the Law because The Blessing(s) of God are promised to the children of God. Yes, in Christ Jesus we are redeemed from the curses of the Law. The Blessing of God concerning The Law is twofold: 1) - We inherited all The Blessings of the Law as children of God while at the same time 2) - We were (and are) promised complete deliverance from all the curses of the Law, so there is no need to fear. We also shared about not fearing relocation because God is with us and we can communicate with God anything and everything that concerns us. In these times of trouble and conflict we covered not fearing war. This means even the threat of war should not make us afraid because we have God with us individually before, during and after war. We then looked at not fearing your enemies which could be someone in your own family or someone at work on your job or maybe a neighbor who really doesn’t like you, etc . . . The key is knowing how to treat them and keeping a positive attitude so that they can’t steal your joy. We also spoke about not fear your assignment (career, calling, ministry, occupation, a hard project, etc. . .) which basically means pray about the task at hand looking for God’s guidance. Allow The Good Lord to help you by ordering your steps such that His Will is done then you can guarantee success because the work is pleasing to God which pleases your heart and gains you favor with both God and man. In a previous lesson we taught on “Not Fearing” False God’s because the True Living God we know is All Powerful, All Mighty and Greater than any spirit or man living in Our God’s Universe. No need to fear what God, our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ has already defeated. Remember greater is He that is in you then those that are in the world. In another lesson we had discussion about not fearing bad bosses because your Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus can influence your bad situation for good, if you do things God’s Way using His (God’s) Wisdom. In another lesson we talked about not fearing man in a general sense. That basically means don’t fear all the bad things going on in the world around you as reported by the media because God is our strength and refuge. In a previous lesson we discussed not fearing having a baby because God has promised you complete preservation all during your pregnancy and complete deliverance when having (giving birth to) the actual baby. In another lesson we mentioned not fearing a Divine Encounter in line with God’s Will. That could be angelic or some type of meeting with the Lord Jesus Himself. Although these types of encounters are typically rare they still exist in the Body of Christ and in the Kingdom of God. In today’s lesson we will look at “not fearing “a bad report” you hear from someone close to you. In this example it was a trusted household member that lived with the girl as family. The reason we added trusted was because when expressing important and sobering news the voice and character of the person is usually trustworthy. It could have just as easily been a spouse, a doctor or an emergency responder, etc. . . A young child would not typically address such a serious state with the father but a sound wife would. In the Holy Bible we often see the chief servant of a household address bad news on behalf of the family, they are sometimes trained to tackle these tough tasks. That appears to be what happened here. First we must add a little bit of background according to Luke 8:41-42 KJV And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. This clearly shows us that we must approach Jesus first for healing He doesn’t just heal us because we are Christians. We must make the request for healing according to God’s Will which is found in God’s Word, The Holy Bible. We know this prayer request was in line with God’s Will because Jesus walked with the father to get to his house. Notice, that the daughter was at the point of death (close to dying) but it didn’t stop the determined father, nor did the request intimidate Jesus. Jesus our Healer can heal any sickness and/or disease including death and demon possession. Now that you know the foundation of the situation we hope you can see the reason why someone came from father’s house because surely, so they thought, no healing is necessary now for she (the child) is dead. This house had Jesus faith but lacked faith in God doing the work. We say that because it is very obvious that they believed Jesus needed to get to the house for the healing to take place while she is alive. Once they saw her die their belief of seeing the girl heal crumbled and vanished away. Jesus operating in the faith of God knew His place (location) isn’t the key but rather faith in God’s Word based on what you believe and what you say (saying inwardly and outwardly consistently). Jesus knew God’s Power is unlimited so Jesus’s beliefs are unlimited too. Therefore, Jesus spoke to the father of the child to encourage his faith and this let the father see even though man may give up hope God doesn’t quit. This tells all of us, “Know that it isn’t God’s (The Lord’s) will to kill but rather God’s Will is for us to have a good natural life upon the earth and a spiritual abundant life on our path to Heaven. Now we will mention the result of the situation accord to Luke 8:54b-55a . . . (Jesus) took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: . . . Thus, the Lord Jesus using the Power of God was able to bring her back to life which included her divine healing. Notices the words from man only tempted the father to give up, those faithless words were exactly opposite God’s Will, which is God’s’ Word. This is why we (ihlcc) can boldly state, “Fear Not a negative report” because our God is more than able to bring us to complete healing and if necessary, bring us back to life in Jesus Name. Amen!
